a rich history

IIn 1898, a pioneer woman named Mrs. James A. Vogel headed over the Teton pass in a wagon train, when the road was nothing more than a trail.

This is the last great wild landscape in the lower 48 states—a place that is sacred, and unscarred.

We offer a truly rare opportunity to be a part of an American legacy.

THE VOGEL NAMESAKE

Mrs. James A. Vogel devoted 41 years of her life to this valley. She and her husband lived in South Park during the time of the Indian Uprisings and later homesteaded their ranch in Spring Gulch — a property that still stands to this day. The Vogel family watched their wilderness frontier turn into the thriving community we know as Jackson Hole.

MEAD RANCH

One of the oldest homesteads in Jackson, Mead Ranch sits north of Highway 22 and represents the southern half of Spring Gulch. Bordered by East and West Gros Ventre Buttes, this scenic valley offers spectacular views of the Tetons and serves as the gateway to Vogel Hill.
